I returned from paternity leave to find that the team at Alt had been trying to locate a rustic wooden shed in which to photograph some bottles for Farmgate Wines. I suggested they use a shed at home which, thanks to a recent visit from one of the property’s previous occupants, I now know to be at least 40 years old.

The bottles were photographed by Duncan Cole under the direction of our co-worker Shabnam. Her labels feature stunning photos of various hard-working produce-makers from New Zealand’s Hawkes Bay region taken by Derek Henderson. These are accompanied by some terrific copy originating from the subjects themselves.

The shed shots will be used in a newspaper insert and adverts.
