A few days ago, a lady called Lois pulled up outside our house and informed us that she had lived there as a child and that her grandfather had built it. The house was built sometime in the 1900s and I had always hoped a previous occupant would call in one day and tell us more about the history of the property.

Today Lois returned with some old photos to tell us more. We chatted for a couple of hours and it turns out that the property stayed in her family for over seventy years. I will be checking our records to establish what I can of the house’s history since they parted with it, and then create some sort of written record to pass on if needs be.
